Hold your HORSES – You’re in for a Ride!
Part 1 of a 3 Part Astrology Series (LINKS – Part 2 & Part 3)
As we transition from the 2025 Yi Si乙巳Yin Wood Serpent year and into 2026 Bing Wu 丙午Yang Fire Horse…we are stepping through a portal of pure FIRE energy.
2026 will be an ILLUMINATING year of change and transformation.
May you RADIATE from within!
In reflection of 2025, the original symbol for the Serpent (cross culturally) is the Ouroborus – a circle, the snake eating its tail. Historical symbolism interprets the Ouroborus as the alchemical cycle of life, death and rebirth, the shedding of skin, the involution of the spiralic nature of all things patterned in existence. Expansion through contraction – The Universe as Breath – Inhale, Exhale. Sine waves up and down…serpentine…involution…Yin Yang.
In 2025 – we were collectively exposed to our innate patterning, our internal aspects of being that had to be shed in order to authentically step completely into the metamorphosis that the FIRE of 2026 will bring…whether you like it or not! “Ready or Not”
It is also known that the year of 2024 started the Fēng Shuǐ 风水 cycle: the Age / Period of 9, Huǒ -Fire 火. We are moving into layers of FIRE energy coming through 2026 – with Bing Wu 丙午Yang Fire Horse within Period 9 – the Age of Huǒ – Fire 火
One of my teachers, Dr. Sonia Tan, describes Period 9 – the Age of Fire, as imbuing new spark energy, joy, creative inspiration and the capacity to facilitate transformation, change, metamorphosis.
It is helpful for you to also get to know your personal internal alchemy, your own flow of Nature, as explained within your own Chinese Birth Chart – Bā Zì 八字, or “constitutional energetic DNA“.
The Ancients relate that when we are born – at the exact moment and location of our 1st breath of life as a Human being on planet Earth – we inhale the Qi of the Universe, an imprint of the position and map of the Heavens (sky and position of stars).
This precise positioning – location, time, date of birth – is exquisitely unique to you and informs both your “constitutional DNA” as well as the map of your fate and cycles of destiny. My reference and examination of 2026 is through this unique lens of Classical Chinese Astrology.
Before we start, I ask the question:
Do we have free will, or is everything predetermined … fated … destined?
My relation to “Fate” – through the study of the Fate Sciences (which include Chinese Astrology) – is that there are points in our life, like a MAP of our fated Destiny. We each have a unique Chinese Birth Chart – Bā Zì 八字, which maps our “constitutional energetic DNA”, or 4 Pillars of Destiny and generates individualized 10 year fate cycles Dà Yùn大运 [運]. These 10 year fated (luck) cycles influence a personal life journey … like locational GPS coordinates, multiple stops, individual sights along the way of our journey of life.
How WE navigate BETWEEN these points, and the actions we CHOOSE to create along the movement between points on our map, imbues our life journey with texture and dimension.
The freewill of our actions, decisions, and behaviors that point us from one point (cycle) to the next, allows for the shaping of our lessons, the felt sense of our experiences, which in turn generates a greater textural pattern to our experience of the tapestry of life.
The more we know about our internal nature alchemy, the easier it is to prepare, position, and enhance what nourishes, and lessens the blows of the inherent currents of life.
