- Rat Zi子 carries a huge opposition, or clash in energy to the Chief – Horse Wu午. Rat is a Yin water animal – this clash is like Rain putting out the Yin fire (like a campfire) of the Horse and is the strongest of all oppositions because there is no ability for the fire to survive a rainstorm.

QUARTERLY ANALYSIS 2026
The Yearly BaZi chart for 2026 can be looked at like Quarters to the year.
Here are some brush strokes over the year in forecast:
Q1 – QUARTER 1: Bing Wu 丙午 Yang Fire Horse – We have thoroughly discussed this aspect – and understand that there is intense pure essence of Fire火 Huǒ energy. We may see intensity within Leadership / Politics this time period, and a rise in new technology, as well as a deepening of collective spiritual inclinations.
Q2 – QUARTER 2: The Pillars of Q1 & Q2 have some clashing and transforming energy with the Q2 Pillar being Geng Yin 庚寅 Yang Metal Tiger. The Yang Metal clashes with the Yang Fire – fire can melt metal. And the Tiger (which is predominantly Yang Wood energy) interacts with the Horse by “wanting to transform” (but does not) into more Fire. This creates wiggly or unsteady energy, and leans towards the continuation of the yearly FIRE theme!!
There is also an internal clash within the Pillar – as Yang Metal (like an Ax) can easily cut down the Yang Wood (like a tree) within the Tiger. This “control” element of Q2 holds a propensity towards Financial & Money endeavors that are not typical or traditional ways of earning money.
– Keep a keen eye on your investments, how you utilize inherited monies, or various income streams – as this energy can go either way depending on your own Astrological chart!
The Tiger is also a MOBILITY animal – so things will feel like moving and shaking.
There will likely be movement (in and out, up and down) in the financial world!
Q3 – QUARTER 3: Ji You 己酉Yin Earth Phoenix (aka Rooster) starts to smooth out the energy of the year, with some grounding Earth element energy, and the refinement of creative output with Yin Metal element inside the Phoenix. This type of creative endeavor has more of an “internal” Artistic quality – like writing, cooking, painting, designing – and has a focus on precision, details and things that sparkle. There is an “outside the box” way of thinking, that holds a desire for expression of Freedom.
Q4 – QUARTER 4: Bing Yin 丙寅 Yang Fire Tiger – moves back to your familiar Yang Fire Energy and Tiger mobility. This time there is FUEL for the Fire, so we will see this 2026-year end in a BLAZE of rapidly moving FIRE.
Q4 is a time to resource your endeavors with non-traditional inquiry and study.
